is anyone here knowledgable with instaparse or parsers in general? i'm currently working on making alda's parser faster, and could use some help: https://github.com/alda-lang/alda/pull/238

@dave is the name nt intentionally set up to match at least two letters in order to distinguish it from notes?

I'll take a look more closely later. I would recommend removing certain bits out of the bach cello suite and re-parsing, to see if that speeds it up.
