Hey @robertchristopher, what are the next steps for the meetup?

srihari 2018-08-20T16:25:46.000100Z

The last time we did this in the nilenso office, @shafeeq says people contributed to open source Clojure projects. Is that the plan for this time as well?

srihari 2018-08-20T16:26:11.000100Z

I’m working on an open-source CLJS-RN app, and I’ll probably work on that on Saturday as well. And I can easily pair with a couple of folks on this.

srihari 2018-08-20T16:26:26.000100Z

What is the general process of announcement?

srihari 2018-08-20T16:30:24.000100Z

@kumarshantanu ^

Shantanu Kumar 2018-08-20T16:33:01.000100Z

Generally, we figure out the agenda for the meetup followed by an announcement by @robertchristopher

Shantanu Kumar 2018-08-20T16:35:57.000100Z

AFAIK for September meetup one talk and one hacking session was planned, @robertchristopher please correct me if I’m wrong

Shantanu Kumar 2018-08-20T16:36:21.000100Z

Also @amarjeet ^^

amarjeet 2018-08-20T16:45:38.000100Z

We would need longer time slot to accommodate both talk and hack session. Else we could just go with hack session. Also, participants may either work on one of the suggested projects or one of their own projects/problem-statements by self or in a team.

srihari 2018-08-20T16:51:54.000100Z

@kumarshantanu @amarjeet I had spoken to @robertchristopher here earlier, but slack swallowed it up. Here’s the archive: https://clojurians-log.clojureverse.org/bangalore-clj/2018-08-06

amarjeet 2018-08-20T16:53:06.000100Z

Great

srihari 2018-08-20T16:55:24.000100Z

> Let me put up an invite in meetup and update the venue, if you have any plans on the hack session, send in a brief, I shall update that too @amarjeet regarding this, is there any detail you’d need from nilenso?

srihari 2018-08-20T16:55:42.000200Z

What were hack sessions like, last time?

amarjeet 2018-08-20T16:57:45.000100Z

Last time, we mainly took on the Bangalore Clojure group website. But, the attendance wasn't much. The plan was that people should be able to work on any project and we could help if beginners need any hands on help.

amarjeet 2018-08-20T16:59:14.000100Z

It would be good if we could put up some suggested projects in advance. Last time, we didn't have many suggestions, but thankfully audience were also less :)

amarjeet 2018-08-20T16:59:54.000100Z

I feel sad by saying thankfully about the audience numbers

amarjeet 2018-08-20T17:00:05.000100Z

😄

srihari 2018-08-20T17:01:07.000100Z

Ohey, nice. I didn’t know there was a Bangalore Clojure group website. That does seem like a nice, small chunk to pick up.

srihari 2018-08-20T17:01:17.000100Z

But yes, we can come up with suggestions soon.

srihari 2018-08-20T17:01:22.000100Z

I’ll do this tomorrow.

amarjeet 2018-08-20T17:01:29.000100Z

Nice

amarjeet 2018-08-20T17:02:10.000100Z

Robert and Shantanu are yet to share more details about the website plan

amarjeet 2018-08-20T17:02:19.000100Z

With everyone

srihari 2018-08-20T17:02:54.000100Z

@amarjeet could you please update the meetup page with the venue and timings? I’ll spread the word, and get some nilenso folks to come over too 🙂

amarjeet 2018-08-20T17:03:58.000100Z

Cool, will coordinate with @robertchristopher

srihari 2018-08-20T17:04:10.000100Z
