@rafd: once logged in, is there any way to join a public conversation?

@stathissideris: you can check out past conversations by clicking on tags (in the menu in the upper right).... but thanks for pointing this out, I think it would be good to start a user off with some recent active conversations open

+1, yeah recent active conversations would be great

@jaredly: your recent active conversations (since you last refreshed) are available via the recent button (near the inbox button), but it only shows ones that you were subscribed to

we will make it so that new users are subscribed to a few threads to begin with so that they don't get an empty space on first login

...also to make it show recent conversations regardless of if you refreshed or not
