I'm glad people care about privacy. It's very important these days.
Sure, privacy is important, but that thread is full of people who don't understand what the recently-enacted privacy laws actually mean and don't understand how anonymized usage telemetry actually works.
(Besides, we really don't have any meaningful privacy online nor have we ever)
Typical "privacy advocate" swashbuckling... thinking that CCPA/GDPR cover things that they do not 😐
