Hi, quick question hopefully... How long does it take to release a new app through the App store(s)? And does this also apply for updates?

our best case (for updates) is about 4h... worst case about 72h. it's been much better recently and very often within 24hr

occasionally there are maddening rejections - a particular reviewer decides to reject an update for some feature that has been unchanged in the app for several previous years

very occasionally there are dumb rejections - we had one where it seemed the reviewer couldn't type a password correctly, so now our reviewer passwords are all digits so it's easier to type on an ios soft keyboard

My rule of thumb is donโ€™t promise itโ€™s quick but it can be.

For a new app, on average 24h. Updates usually go faster.
