4 of us should give at least $20 https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/1346708779/arachne-rapid-web-development-for-clojure/description so we can get Austin on the list of Top Cities
I think that’s what we try to accomplish with the hack days. We could possibly rebrand those days
Hey @clojuregeek I saw your meetups message. I'm actually looking into jruby (not perl6) with clojure and I'd be happy to do a 15-20 min presentation.
Also I'd like to help out with clojurebridge.
oh ok! @thebearmayor .. I'll put you down for jruby then  and thanks for helping with Clojurebridge.. still thinking of when we can do it, probably will wait till Conj announces their date and maybe do the weekend before
Awesome!
Lynn said she'd give all the attendees to our clojurebridge workshop a ticket to the conj if they want
I learned something yesterday.... for the Conj.. the talks are picked by Rich and Stu ... Clojure West they are picked by Alex Miller and people he recruits to vote on talks they want to see (I was one of them)
Interesting. I like Alex's taste.
@norman: who was it who is going to talk on Jython ?
nick
bailey
right
Do you have access to edit the meetups?
yep, sam gave to me the other day
Awesome
ok so we have Jthyon and Jruby .. anything else?
they should have called Rakudo Perl
... Jerl
Not at the moment.
ok, well this is for June.. we have some time... maybe ??? I can try the perl 6. I haven't coded in perl for 7 years, but i still have all the blue books and my blue perl shirt
has the clojure<->scala integration gotten any better? that would be cool. last i heard it was close to impossible
I have never heard of anyone eve trying
the only reason i’ve heard of was interacting with akka
looks like there are actually a few wrappers around akka these days
