oh no #serverless!

2016-06-20T16:14:15.000052Z

aka “what’s going to put me out of work"

clojuregeek 2016-06-20T16:15:37.000053Z

well guess you should learn to code it then 🙂

I’ll just have to go work for AWS. There’s servers in there somewhere, and somebody has to run them!

clojuregeek 2016-06-20T16:18:18.000055Z

hehe 🙂

clojuregeek 2016-06-20T16:18:24.000056Z

good luck with that 🙂

clojuregeek 2016-06-20T16:18:35.000057Z

i haven’t heard of people in austin having much luck getting amazon jobs

clojuregeek 2016-06-20T16:18:48.000058Z

unless they moved to seattle

clojuregeek 2016-06-20T16:19:16.000059Z

there is an office here now.. but.. everyone i have talked to that has interviewed there, hasn’t been accepted

2016-06-20T16:21:45.000060Z

yeah, same. but I’ve known several people who did move to Seattle for them.

2016-06-20T16:36:23.000061Z

actually, I wonder if there’s a better term. I meant clojurescript-only, no server side code.

2016-06-20T16:46:57.000062Z

ohhhh. Yeah, serverless is used for both and it is confusing.

2016-06-20T16:47:13.000065Z

it sounds like you’re talking more about definition 1 there

2016-06-20T16:56:54.000066Z

I like the idea of giving frontend apps direct query access to the database. But I don’t know if anybody is doing that yet.
