Wow that's a big difference

Well, clearly the the difference didn’t come because of people who could attend without travelling.

Maybe that’s shorthand for cheap and convenient travel.

i sort of resent their commrent

ok so i have to travel more because 20 or so women and underrepresented groups couldn't make it?

did they have to turn away people from their opportunity grants because of lack of funding?

i give towards that

last years conj one of the people who was getting hotel, ticket and airfare paid for had to cancel.. so they gave it to me

so i feel obligated to give a little each time i have opportunity

I used to attend Philly ETE every year when I lived in NY and NJ because it was a feasible driving distance. Even without the airfare… Not cheap it was.

I cannot imagine holding clojure conj in Philly would make it more affordable

was there a drop in overall turn out as well?

alot of people came just because it was in austin 🙂 they wanted an excuse to come to austin

and alot of them planned to stay the weekend

too bad it rained on them 😞

well.. we all know what happens

people visit austin

and move here

like you and i 🙂
