Hey @alexmiller! I was wondering if I could get some feedback on my proposal before I submit it in the coming week. I’ve never submitted before, so I’m not sure about formatting, supporting information for reviewers, etc. Thanks!

sure, happy to answer questions here (where everyone can benefit) or review a specific proposal at <mailto:events@cognitect.com|events@cognitect.com>

generally, I find about 5 sentences to be a good target for the abstract - reviewers and attendees rarely want to read more than that

we also have a “main ideas” section that is private for reviewers where you can provide more detail about what will be included

when I’m reviewing a talk I am looking to answer the following questions: 1. is this an interesting topic or idea? 2. based on what I have, do I believe the speaker can deliver on the idea. speaker info is anonymized at this point, so this is based mostly on whether there are concrete items that seem to support the idea. 3. what will an attendee take away from the talk?

Thanks @alexmiller!
