The ticket mentions using a two-character file containing a dash followed by a newline, which I tested with. I can try making a 3- or 4-expression REPL sequence to repro and add to the ticket, if that would help.

It is so funky -- I expected to find \- mentioned somewhere in the source code to help explain the difference between symbols starting with - vs. not, but didn't find any.

No rush that I know of on that one, as a couple of alternates that appear to work around the issue is in the ticket, if someone else hits it, and they seem to work on the problem cases I found, at least.
