just following up on the TBE, according the official Belgium vaccination web site: > Teken-encefalitis komt nog niet voor in Belgiรซ, maar wel al in de buurlanden zoals Duitsland. > Tick-borne encephalitis does not yet occur in Belgium, but it already occurs in neighboring countries such as Germany.
https://www.ecdc.europa.eu/en/disease-vectors/surveillance-and-disease-data/tick-maps apparently there's maps of distribution across europe.
https://www.gov.uk/government/publications/ticks-distribution-of-ixodes-ricinus-in-england-scotland-and-wales this is perhaps why I've never really known about this stuff. I'm from the middle of the country where there's seemingly less.

I didnโt realise this channel existed. Do people wake up really late? Trying to estimate from the โgood morningโ greetings, since those were what I came here to check out. (Because of a recent thread in #community-development )
It's univeral greeting time, see topic
Hahaha, lol, omg.
TIL. Thanks!!!
Good Morning!
Hello new people
I am having so much fun with transducers now that I'm using x/by-key and x/reduce
Tho I did have to remind myself to use a plain transduce rather than an into and x/reduce
It is making decomposing things into pipelines with small functions for each step really worthwhile
I think I made a mental image like this: working without transducers is like sucking data through a straw which where the other end of the straw is sideeffecting. Working with with transducers is like taking a result from a side effecting fun and pouring it into a pipe.
Note that I have never worked with transducers, I only played with them a bit today.
transducers and side effects are unrelated ๐
(although they happen to go together)
yeah, there are usually side effects at either end, tho I do my file reading in a transducer (I pass in a vector of file names and mapcat the results)
my output is usually in a run!
tho
is JDK15 a big deal or no? https://clojurians.slack.com/archives/C06MAR553/p1600186831254100
I only care if it's LTS, but I think it is
Not LTS https://www.oracle.com/java/technologies/java-se-support-roadmap.html
17, in 1 year time.
Then I shall wait. I've stopped using alpha stuff. I don't enjoy rewriting it all later.
Spec is too alpha for me.
we are this ๐:skin-tone-3: ๐:skin-tone-3: close to having everything work on jdk11 so I think we can also wait
the only reason to go to 11 now is that Clojure is gonna bump its requirement one of these days and this should buy us 6-10 years
That'll be years right? They only recently went to 8, and that was years after 8 was released.
Good morning!
I realize I'm not doing UGT right, but must poke at it a bit to calibrate myself. ๐
