God morgen. The life of a full-stacker. Yesterday I was debating how things should line up in the ui. Today I'm fixing security issues.

I was just using British instead of American spelling, e.g. color / colour, morning / mourning. 🀷

Curious to know, are you also in charge of designing the UI, or by debating you mean something else?

javahippie 2020-09-23T11:18:43.009600Z

Morge!

Mornings are very sad in the UK as we need to hide our drinking

thomas 2020-09-23T11:59:30.010900Z

and pubs are to close early for the next 6 months as well...

That last hour is clearly where all the social distancing rules are flouted

raymcdermott 2020-09-23T12:09:05.012700Z

there is still a 'last hour' though πŸ™‚

Hi everyone πŸ™‚ A quick sanity check question about freelancer indemnity insurance, if anyone knows: I’m registered and working in one EU country and have a contract with a client where the legal jurisdiction of the contract is another EU country. Is it possible to get indemnity/liability insurance from an insurer in the client’s country? (I’m asking because I got an absurdly expensive quote from an insurer in my own country, presumably because it’s a foreign jurisdiction?)

jkxyz 2020-09-24T12:30:56.011400Z

Hmm, thank you. I think I definitely need to find someone to speak with about this. I’m totally lost in the process. Sometimes I miss being employed πŸ™‚

slipset 2020-09-23T12:46:47.016900Z

No, not in charge, but old enough to have an opinion about almost everything.

orestis 2020-09-23T13:21:04.017300Z

Haha, then I definitely know the feeling. I’m trying to educate myself on UI matters because a lot of designers I’ve worked with, while good at design, very often lack some systemic understanding and I want to be better at communicating it πŸ™‚

ordnungswidrig 2020-09-23T14:51:30.017500Z

I cannot tell you but my insurance includes even non-EU countries and it’s fine I think. Of course it depends on an awful lot of details, like covered tasks and sum etc. Did you seek professional advice from a insurance expert?

(is it just me or are clojurians getting much younger. Must be a vi user tho as I'm not sure how someone that small could do emacs key chords)
