My wife bought a desk-buddy for me, who is constantly summarizing my current project for me
cute :)
Good morning 😛
Looks a lot like my project?!?! That must be a coincedence!
It has to be, as projects tend to go smoothly most of the time 😁
@javahippie My gf got me a new “rubber duck” too :D
cute!
I am getting a workmate in a couple of weeks as well https://sos-ch-gva-2.exo.io/mpenet-photos/elvis1.jpeg (we've been waiting for >1 year for that one)
“insert some jocker about pupper duck”
I wondered lately (seeing puppies becoming more popular) how mother dogs think about their puppies disappearing to "other parents" all of a sudden, they simply accept this and live on?
they like it, our breeder told us that after a while they want to get rid of them basically
don't know if she told us that to make us feel better or if it's the truth really
in any case nothing stops you to go see the parents/siblings somtimes
I am googling this now and I also read what you are saying mpenet. So it must be true, it's on the internetz! :)
Well, then it's a win/win probably ;)
I love cats and dogs, I usually pet them when I encounter one on the streets... but I'm allergic as hell, especially to cats, so no such pets for me.
I am also alergic to cats, not dogs fortunately
I think they have decent treatments for this now, "desensibilisation" in french. I know a few people who used to be allergic to cats and now have one
I have had such therapy but I stopped it as they later on explained that I have too many allergies for this to really catch on.
damn
@javahippie lovely one! Always wanted to have a Dalmatian (the cartoon influence :D) My little pupper is about 2 months old.
ours is 4 weeks on that picture
One last picture from when we brought her home, then I’ll stop, promised 🙈
wow that eye
That's the beedy eye of truth
no hiding!
I too am highly allergic to cats
achooo!
Also allergic to cats 😞 And bunnies 🐇 whereas these are living in our garden.
I had a treatment for my hayfever which helped a lot. I didn’t know this was possible for cats. Also I read the depending on the breed and the individual animal the amount of protein in the saliva which is the allergene varies a lot.
We also have a friend who is allergic to cats and some dogs. Gladly, ours is fine
I know some maine-coon cats which I do not react to at all 🤷 humans are not better built than the average enterprise software
And filing issues and defects often doesn’t help, too
Are you saying you are allergic to average enterprise software too?
Totally
:rolling_on_the_floor_laughing:
And it gets worse the more I get exposed to it
Just to round off the pet theme….. Labrador debugger
I am allergic to cats as well , and hay fever. But antihistamine usually does the trick.
No known allergies here. Girlfriend's allergic to cats though, unfortunately. Her immune system is also an incredibly effective detector of mold and mites. If she were allergic to Higgs Bosons, I doubt the LHC would have been built.
Puppies? I can do that! Here he is, two months old :)
cute!
that last part if funny... not the fact that she can detect those things.
Bought a new monitor in the Fall and returned due to dead pixel, unfortunately the shop didn’t have any other so I postponed the upgrade. Right I came back to this “issue” and I’m kinda torn between 34" 21:9 Ultrawide 1440P and 32" 16:9 4k. Ultrawide kinda feels more productive but still… Any ideas?
@chokheli I’m using a 32" DELL curved ultrawide. I can fit Emacs and a Browser comfortably on it but as my eyes are a little older I like my fonts not super tiny. Being on a mac I prefer single monitor setup because window management.
I've been considering this: https://www.dell.com/ed/business/p/dell-u3419w-monitor/pd
to replace my dual monitors
Dell's use LG panels, top notch!
I’ve got a DELL U3417W.
Cannot complain. Except that the integrated sound cannot be controled via MacOs. Seems to be a problem with MacOs and HDMI rather. I’m using my trusted Samson Monitor Speakers anyways.
