Hi, posted this in jobs but if it’s ok I’ll post here too. Pilloxa is an eHealth IoT startup sprung from a research project here in Stockholm. We are looking for app/backend developers. Our solution solves a problem that, only in Sweden, causes 4000 deaths and costs 2 bn EUR per year. Help us save lives! Stack: Preliminarily Clojure on backend and ClojureScript + React Native for iOS/Android. No previous experience of Clojure required but functional experience is a plus. If you are interested in learning new things and excited about the possibility of having a great impact on people’s lives, Pilloxa will be the place for you. If it sounds interesting, send me a private message 😄 #C0536F336 #C05006WDW

Since we are in an early stage initially we are trying to find people in Stockholm or willing to move here.

Who would like to live there?

kardan 2015-12-10T16:37:58.000009Z

Sorry that was meant as a joke...

vikeri 2015-12-10T16:39:56.000010Z

Haha I got that. It is hard to trasmit irony over text messages though.

kardan 2015-12-10T16:41:11.000011Z

Yep, I realised that I had to make a comment. A little bitter that my side (west cost) is very quiet in terms of Clojure work

kardan 2015-12-10T16:42:30.000012Z

I’m not going to cry my self to sleep over it, I already have work. But still would be fun with some activity

julia 2015-12-10T18:13:41.000015Z

i'd move to sweden to work on clojurescript things

julia 2015-12-10T18:14:08.000016Z

i did hear it's harder for foreigners who don't speak any local language to find work there

jstaffans 2015-12-10T18:51:22.000017Z

I don't think that applies to the tech industry.. people switch to English very readily.

jstaffans 2015-12-10T18:51:50.000018Z

probably too readily if you ever want to learn Swedish

julia 2015-12-10T19:11:34.000019Z

thanks jstaffans, that's good to know.

vikeri 2015-12-10T20:07:10.000020Z

Yes, the Stockholm tech community is extremely diverse in terms of nationality, we would need more girls though. I’ll drop you a line @julia!
