lol, i'm trying to book my second appointment atm, but all those millenials are blocking the nhs site and making me wait in a queue

Could you not book your second at the same time as your first? We struggled to secure the same location, so our first was in Tamworth, and our second in Warwick 🤷

we did book the second with the first, but the only dates it gave us were when we were off on holiday

the location we used seems to have plenty of availability, but for some reason the gov site won't give us any dates except those when we are on holiday 🙈

Yeah, I feel the same. I’m meant to be attending a big bike race on 7th August. It’s a festival with typically 5k attendees. My second dose is a week afterwards, so I’m considering my options at the moment. I think I’ll go, and then self isolate afterwards for a week whilst I wait for the dose. I’m a bit cautious as both my mother in law and step mother are ill.

'sok @jakob.durstberger , it's really the fault of whoever created the nhs booking site - i think they might have made some poor architectural choices

perhaps a hint into the database being used... i booked my own and my wifes second appts just now, one after the other - i got a ref: 3**0942 and she got 3**2982 ... from which i take that there were about 2,000 bookings in the time it took me to go through the forms again, and that the website has managed just north of 30m bookings so far - perhaps using a db with transactional counters
