we just talked about this 4 days ago, everyone was saying that it's the vaccines working, that there are no hospitalizations

Aron 2021-07-02T06:30:34.390600Z

I didn't want to say that I doubt the official numbers, but I should've

djm 2021-07-02T07:01:58.391700Z

Maybe we need a graph of the rate of increase over time

Jakob Durstberger 2021-07-02T07:23:24.392100Z

Yeah I find the gov graphs a bit lacking at times. They do have an API but I didn’t find time yet to do anything with it

Aron 2021-07-02T07:53:10.392300Z

analytical functions are not necessarily helpful, in 2 weeks it increased 50%, doesn't say much more than hospitalizations are rising

Aron 2021-07-02T07:53:51.392500Z

the numbers are still low, but I would've guessed that people don't think it will stop or turn around once it starts spreading, without lockdowns that is

djm 2021-07-02T06:38:17.390700Z

Is that any different to https://coronavirus.data.gov.uk/details/healthcare ?

djm 2021-07-02T06:40:02.391100Z

I don’t understand the x-axis of the one on twitter, but the Government one has 259 for 27/6, which is possibly higher than the number on the one on twitter

I don't quite understand it either, but I am not sure how much insight we can gain from getting into the details. The difference is with the message from 4 days ago, when the infection numbers were at the December level, but everything else was down
