What are the dropout rates people have seen between registration and actually attending?

In San Francisco, which has a real issue with free events in my opinion, the no-show rate was about 50% I believe. Now, to be fair, quite a few people did take the time to cancel. Overall I think we "sold" about 45 tickets and had about 22 attendees?

@danielcompton: I believe we had 20% no-show in Berlin

@danielcompton: ClojureBridge Solingen had extremely low no-show, like 2-3 out of 27 or something; and one was sick. May be a culture thing, dunno.

did everyone turn up at the exact time as well?

@danielcompton: But take that last statement with a grain of salt; I don't know as I wasn't an organizer; so I wasn't in position to really see people shuffle in.
