in general the hostels in berlin with good reviews are as good as a lot of hotels

@juhoteperi: the only one Stefan could mention was http://www.yelp.de/biz/motel-one-berlin-hauptbahnhof-berlin

nblumoe 2016-01-20T14:25:59.000051Z

however, that mostly because it is close to the main station

I found and booked: http://hotel-arenainn.de/en/ should be close to venue

we do not have an official partner hotel. stefan was trying to arrange something, but the conference is too small or so... they were not interested

but I think there is not too much that could go wrong with that

as Martin said Airbnb is always an option with lots of offers in Berlin. not my cup of tea though....

Airbnb is nice but as me and Tommi are just coming short trip we thought hotel is easier (has breakfast etc.)

I actually had bad experiences with Airbnb in Berlin when I moved here and was looking for a flat. But I might be the only one. Other people are usually quite happy with it. I avoid it since then! 😄
