Did anyone tried to call that number on skillsmatter website? Do they refund tickets?

flefik 2019-11-15T10:24:06.414100Z

I’ve tried to get my ticket refunded by e-mail but have not yet heard back

It would be extremely unlikely to have any refund - the company has gone into administration, and as a unsecured creditor (and non-preferred creditor), you are bottom of the list to be paid any refund

People who get paid first (after being bought or assets being sold) are secured creditors - i.e., estate agents, banks, then comes preferred creditors i.e., employees, then lastly the rest - and only if there is money left after everything has been sold off/paid etc...

I do hope people get refunds, but don't hold your breath 😞

All you can do is register your "interest" with the administrator and maybe, in a few years, you might get something...

Here's a nice little infograph:

A colleague called the administrator, they promised a call back that still didn’t happened. Will keep the channel posted.

I’ve also been told that credit cards (and visa debit) have to refund you by law if you demonstrate the service wasn’t delivered. They’ll then proceed to try to get the money back instead of you. This is of course for those who payed by credit card. (But IANAL, not a lawyer, you’ll have to verify this, some link here https://www.which.co.uk/consumer-rights/regulation/section-75-of-the-consumer-credit-act)

dharrigan 2019-11-15T11:28:45.421700Z

Yes, section 75 of the Consumer Credit Act

dharrigan 2019-11-15T11:29:09.422300Z

for purchases over £100 you can claim against the credit card company

dharrigan 2019-11-15T11:29:15.422600Z

since your contract is with them, not the supplier

That's in the UK btw 🙂

Laws differ by country 🙂
