In particular, folks evaluated Gitter against Slack and found it didn't support a lot of things folks really liked about Slack. Of course those discussions have "aged out" here due to the message limit (but you can still see some of the Gitter side of things over there),

There's a Clojure organization in Gitter and a Clojure/General chat room set up. As before, folks are welcome to try Gitter.
