hey everyone, how is the slack log at https://clojurians-log.clojureverse.org/clojure/index.html generated?

awesome! thanks

it's mostly python now, there's two parts to it. One part is the bot which logs the raw messages, the other is a cron job which generates the HTML

if i wanted to use this for another slack team, i would have to change some things that are hardcoded?

plexus 2016-06-28T12:54:12.000034Z

I'm not 100% sure, but there's a logfile where you configure the slack api token. I think that's tied to the slack team

plexus 2016-06-28T12:54:27.000035Z

cause I can't find any direct reference to "clojurians"

bojan.matic 2016-06-28T12:54:39.000036Z

yeah, me neither

bojan.matic 2016-06-28T12:54:51.000037Z

skimming the code i also found nothing that is hard coded

bojan.matic 2016-06-28T12:55:18.000038Z

but i was asking just in case because it was mentioned in the readme

these are my notes from setting up the server https://gist.github.com/plexus/b4dad7d1ce08184002acb98f79302005

thank you very much @plexus !

I didn't know about this channel, seems like a good place to mention Clojureverse

plexus 2016-06-28T14:26:04.000042Z

http://clojureverse.org/

plexus 2016-06-28T14:26:49.000044Z

It's meant as an alternative to Google Groups, either for Clojure related open source projects, or for local communities

I never promoted it much, so at the moment it mostly serves as a sleepy mailing list for Chestnut, but I plan to continue to run it
