@bendlas: I think it would be really cool to set up a slack bridge for this community. Did something change or do we still need to run and maintain that bridge on our own?

@martinklepsch http://riot.im has buttons now, to set up slack bridges. I assumed this meant that they run it on their servers

@bendlas yeah I checked, seems they do that now

asked in the Riot channel if there's a difference to the slack appservice bridge but haven't yet received a response

@martinklepsch well, there is discussion about slack alternatives on the hack pad and apparently people are aware of matrix and its existing slack integration. I'd really like to try it out and see how bad it is to have matrix participants in show up as bots in slack ...

don't know who to ask for the webhook uri, though
