I have a flex box and I would like the text 'New log lines' to be in the middle of the grey box and the blue icon at the very right... (with a bit of margin).

You need to set the right component's flex growth at 0 and the left one at 1 - that's the idea.

and remember to set a proper size for the right component if it does not have one yet.
