We plan to discuss our new storage layout support, how to standardize it between backends (WIP) and how to document it and make it easy to support new storage backends. The storage layout support provides the ability to easily transmit binary values between stores and upgrade store configurations online (without downtime). We can also talk about the recently added metadata support and garbage collector, if people are interested. The goal of this work is to make the layer more evolveable and future proof.
