In that case I’m going to take a closer look at Circle CI. They have done themselves disservice by not making that more clear in the pricing page.

fwiw, I just enabled a CircleCI build on a public github project and it was automatically granted 4x containers. Detected on the fly, I guess from the github project settings. But my “plan” is still “Hobbyist (1500 minutes) - $0/month”.
