Consider also joining #cider, #lsp and #inf-clojure, where most of the tool-specific discussions are happening.

GNU organization requests more compliance with gplv3 from spacemacs: https://github.com/syl20bnr/spacemacs/issues/14444

Their interpretation is quite far fetched IMO Spacemacs is more of a package manager and a suite of packages than an emacs distribution. Also, emacs, being a sort of overlay OS, is modified by emacs lisp code the same way the JVM is modified by running byte code. I wonder what they're trying to achieve

I also wonder if gnusupport is a lawyer

Heh. I do not wonder that at all

gplv3 pollutes everything

you think that person is an official representative? no links no http://gnu.org and I thought it was the fsf that did enforcement (and probably not via a github issue). seems like a crank

dpsutton 2021-03-01T19:44:42.015600Z

yes i believe so. they mentioned stuff on the mailing list

dpsutton 2021-03-01T19:47:56.015800Z

i believe the user posting this issue has control of <mailto:bugs@gnu.support|bugs@gnu.support>. Ah, on further inspection, the gnu.support website says > We are not endorsed by GNU or Free Software Foundation. We just love GNU and FSF!
