So re: Deserted Island DevOps, it's so far been my favorite virtual event: https://desertedislanddevops.com/. I would've liked to see a larger balance of content, but the content was also reflective of the state of the industry a bit.

For me it gave enough of a "feeling" of a normal conference instead of just watching a stream. A small "audience" (just the 8 people who could pop in and be speakers) that you could actually see, and be able to interact with Q&A and with the staff via Twitch chat, which is a moderated space but enables breakout rooms and whatnot.

The production values were so far the highest I've seen in any virtual event as well, which helps.

The limitation of the format only allows for 8 speakers per "day" if you're really wanting to preserve that format but I think that's OK.
