sure, if you’re $60/hr as a perm

@kurva I think the most important thing is to keep in mind that when being a contractor you are the one paying for: health insurance, vacation days, sick days, pension etc. So make sure whatever amount you come up with takes that into account. While I agree that specific numbers are hard I think with 8+2 years of experience $40 is probably the low end.

yeah + employers taxes potentially depending on the structure you use to front this + an accountant (once a year) depending on how much of a maze this is where you live

you get to deduct some things too, it's not all one way

Also consider supply and demand forces in the market and wether the company that’s trying to hire you is well-funded/cashflow positive or more cash-strapped

Here is a brief description of the issue: "We would like to be able to use Interfaces and Unions in GraphQL. It's not immediately obvious how we might implement this, and we don't currently have a solid use case, but I understand it's a deal-breaker for some people who have considered Leona."

We are offering a $150 incentive for anyone who submits a PR and is approved by one of our engineering team.

We want to build our platform through Open Source contributions, but we feel as if we should be giving something back as a small token of gratitude to those that do carry out work.
