Just to check: where is the next London Clojurians meetup (12th Oct) going to be? The title on the London Clojurians calendar says Skills matter (code node?), but the location says uSwitch?

jonpither 2015-10-01T08:34:42.000773Z

where does say uswitch?

jonpither 2015-10-01T08:37:52.000775Z

have changed it

jonpither 2015-10-01T08:37:54.000776Z

can you check again

jonpither 2015-10-01T08:38:34.000777Z

Also, am considering do a small blog on it as to hit planet clojure. Slightly wary of the spam element, but think it's justified. I've noticed that Clojure events set up through EventBrite (not skills-matter), automatically create planet clojure tweets

jonpither 2015-10-01T08:38:45.000778Z

If anyone knows anything about this setup, please let me know

jamiei 2015-10-01T08:38:48.000779Z

Fixed

jonpither 2015-10-01T08:38:57.000780Z

thanks for pointing out

jamiei 2015-10-01T08:39:52.000781Z

No worries, is there a speaker lined up for this one yet?

jonpither 2015-10-01T08:44:16.000782Z

the 12th? We have 3

jonpither 2015-10-01T08:44:47.000783Z

I've just emailed SkillsMatter, saying we need to mirror the EventBrite -> Planet Clojure setup, since SM events do not go on to EventBrite

jamiei 2015-10-01T08:45:12.000784Z

Ah.. sorry, I've just found the event page on skills matter

Does anybody have a recommendation or counter-recomendation on post forwarding companies in London?

xlevus 2015-10-01T14:52:58.000792Z

You want a truly private box right? and not a PO Box?

pupeno 2015-10-01T14:53:38.000793Z

I don’t want a PO Box. I want a normal address that forwards to my residential one.

xlevus 2015-10-01T14:58:22.000794Z

ah. I looked into getting one recently. For what you get, they're all pretty expensive. PO Boxes are cheaper, but you lose the privacy aspect.

xlevus 2015-10-01T14:59:01.000795Z

you seem to pay for the London address. Which I really don't care for, I'd be happy with a Sheffield address.

xlevus 2015-10-01T15:00:15.000796Z

I take that back

xlevus 2015-10-01T15:00:16.000797Z

http://www.prime-secretarial.co.uk/prices.html

xlevus 2015-10-01T15:00:28.000799Z

seems significantly cheaper than the rest

pupeno 2015-10-01T15:00:56.000800Z

I don’t think HMRC would be happy with my company’s office being a PO Box.

xlevus 2015-10-01T15:02:01.000801Z

PO boxes aren't actually private, Royal Mail will tell you where the address actually goes if you ask them

xlevus 2015-10-01T15:02:41.000802Z

but if you're setting up a company, your accountant might provide the service for you

xlevus 2015-10-01T15:02:47.000803Z

(mine does)

pupeno 2015-10-01T15:03:14.000804Z

My accountants don’t, they pointed me to a provider, but I’d rather shop around to see if there’s something better.

xlevus 2015-10-01T15:04:09.000805Z

ah

xlevus 2015-10-01T15:07:09.000806Z

Try searching for Directors Service Address They're all priced well below the mail forwarding services

pupeno 2015-10-01T15:30:50.000807Z

Yes, I found a bunch of them, but a former partner of mine got a horrible experience with one of them, so I’d like to go with a good one.
