P.S. Is ‘folks’ an acceptable gender neutral collective noun?

I would assume folks is more gender neutral than guys, but probably less universally known.

need to build a contact us form - silly Q but presumably you can't connect to an smtp server from Clojurescript / javascript, i.e. there has be some server side code?

@jonpither: You /could/ connect to a smtp server, I think there's a browser protocol for pure sockets... It would be immensely stupid to do so, but you could.

but yes, accepted standard is server-side code.

yeah there are, but you end up paying a bit per month - also not a pleasant thought to have emails through a separate business

"organisms" would be more inclusive. It also includes peoples gut fauna, lice, infections, and anybody pre-coffee

I like “organisms”. “humans” means I’d struggle with future workmates who happen to be uplifted hamsters or whatever.

I’d say humans who get naturalised on another planet may or may not be earthlings, depending on whether we allow dual citizenship.
