Wow, £250m London/Clojure exit
Wonder how long the handcuffs are on before they can all leave and start the next thing.
@martintrojer: referring to SwiftKey?
I know they use Clojure for a prototype keyboard but not sure what else?
backend
cool
a friend of mine at SwiftKey has just described it as “Exciting times"
yeah, hopefully they can get their cash and leave pretty soon.
Many years ago, they were using Scala and 'whatever we thought was best'
looks like MSFT is becoming a Clojure power house… SwiftKey, Wunderlist…
and handcuffs are usually two years I’ve heard
thelittlelisper: Microsoft is writing #C03S1KBA2 plugins for Visual Studio: https://t.co/G2M7QmaKC0 via @borkdude #Lisp https://t.co/MjfTdYqvD9
MS is doing a Yahoo. Just a little better.
@paulspencerwilliams: I heard about this a while ago but hadn't seen the detail. Thanks.
I just started using parinfer on Atom… and once you know what it does it is really nice...
the only thing I struggle a bit with is copying bit of code from another file...
then you have to make sure it aligns correctly again to make sure that the parens are as intended
Well, as an attempt to gain continued exposure to Clojure, I’ve started the http://exercism.io exercises. Looks like they might just be lunchtimeable :simple_smile:
oo, that looks like a neat service
@glenjamin: retrieval and submission of attempts seems good, and I might get some code reviews to boot too.
