Clojurians Log v2

Why does luminus have nrepl server along side http server? Aren't new versions of cider making that obsolete and lein has access to nrepl ? I am trying to understand luminus fully as i would like to get all the pieces of batteries that are included. I feel like i am missing little bit of clue in my understanding of lein, templates and how it all fits together. side question: is there a place where i could read up on why and hows of decision making for luminus template and it's parts. like 'we need reloaded workflow this is how we added it and it's like this because..'
