@ido: depends on the code and the change introduces between the runs. why would you do lein run in your dev cycle? usually you start the REPL and just do (mount/start) / (mount/stop). if needed you can also throw tools.namespace in the mix: https://github.com/tolitius/stater/blob/master/smsio/dev/dev.clj
