NFTs are the beanie babies of the 2020s, with the additional attribute of being an ecological disaster during a time when we are the most aware we've ever been of the effects of wasting so much energy

The crypto art sites seem to be basically massively energy-wasting adoption agencies for particularly hideous pet rocks.

NFT?

It does seem like the energy issues are being addressed as a somewhat high priority at least (though still awhile a way from being actual reality)

I love those lectures!

Their book is my favourite on the topic, so Iā€™ll definitely watch these. Thanks!

I love the SICP lectures, but everything Iā€™ve seen from Sussman since (like his strange loop talk) has been so far over my head, I only understood every 10th word. Iā€™ve preordered his new book, but Iā€™m doubtful Iā€™ll be able to actually understand any of it :D The ā€˜Stratified Designā€™ paper is an exception though, that was great - deep but still comprehensible.

I think that's covered in the new book

Pretty much what got me to Clojure

Thanks for posting this, these are great! I took this course in 1986 with Abelson as the lecturer, so itā€™s like going back in time for me.
