that sounds weird
all i know is that 0.9 is fairly old, and a lot of improvements went from 0.9 -> 0.10
@lmergen agreed on 0.9, that’s why we’re moving everything to latest, it’s just going to take a while for us to get there. I’m just wondering if that even makes sense? For instance if a peer went down and came back up, could it be possible that the addresses that aeron uses get recycled and there is traffic in-flight from other peers wind up in the wrong task? it certainly has us scratching our heads
in all honesty, i have no idea
probably one of the few people able to answer this question is @lucasbradstreet but he's very busy with his day job nowadays
@lmergen so I’ve heard, and I’ve already bugged him once this week about a plugin, so I don’t want to take up anymore of his time 🙂 I was hoping someone might have seen something similar, but doesn’t seem like it. I should probably get a bit more familiar with the messaging layer anyways, the aeron stuff is a bit opaque to me TBH.
be warned, it’s a bit of a rabbit hole :)
