I revisit scheme implementations once a year or so hah, a few books I want to read or re-read use scheme so it is convenient to know a bit about it, not have to translate examples to other lisps (say, clojure) while reading, etc.
anyway, this time I gave gauche a try, seems pretty nice, and makes it very very easy to generate stand alone executables
gambit is also nice this way but I'm not sure it is very well documented
I work on linux, now I need to see how well either gambit or gauche work with emacs + geiser
I also learned that the author of Gauche is a profressional movie actor: https://twitter.com/anohana
pretty cool 🙂
