Integrating Pedestal with refresh / reset is bit of a common pain point (afaict) - I have seen it recommended to use a mixed approach, which seems acceptable but also can be confusing in the context of a team using different tools of choice. In face of that I created a relatively simple wrapper at work: https://github.com/nedap/components.pedestal - after 1 year is quite proven by now. Hope some find it useful!
