hi guys, avid user of proton here, may be interested in contributing to the future of its development

dvcrn 2016-07-28T01:24:10.000090Z

great to hear 🙂 if you have any questions, please feel free to ask them here

spectre 2016-07-28T01:52:22.000091Z

sure thing, thanks for a great plugin

spectre 2016-07-28T01:52:55.000092Z

by the way what do you think about the performance in atom?

spectre 2016-07-28T01:53:24.000093Z

with proton + a fair amount of addons, I start to notice that it slows compared to sublime

spectre 2016-07-28T01:53:32.000094Z

I hear that 1.9 beta is faster

spectre 2016-07-28T01:57:52.000095Z

just downloaded, and yea, I can confirm it seems a bit faster

dvcrn 2016-07-28T06:35:55.000096Z

yeah that's a problem. Mainly because of how atom is implemented. If you look at vscode, it runs inside electron as well but doesn't have any of the speed issues

dvcrn 2016-07-28T06:36:18.000097Z

sublime will almost always be faster just because it doesn't rely on a DOM and js

spectre 2016-07-28T19:53:57.000098Z

right, yea that’s unfortunate, hope things can get ironed out like vscode, surprising to see that actually leading the way on speed

spectre 2016-07-28T19:54:15.000099Z

I like this plugin and atom too much so I don’t think I’ll be leaving for a long time

spectre 2016-07-28T19:54:51.000101Z

plus, learning more vim

spectre 2016-07-28T20:00:04.000102Z

so have you left the sublime version entirely @dvcrn?
