As a newcomer to this community, is this conference usually paid? And in what ballpark is the fee usually?

If you buy it a year in advance, £99. Closer to the date of the conf, ~£500.

Got my ticket - you guys, this community, just the best 🙂

The cost of SkillsMatter Clojure Exchange conference was £150 plus 20% VAT for the first 50 tickets. Then prices went up in regular increments with a final cost of £650 plus 20% VAT. re:Clojure is a different conference organised by different people in the space of about a week. All SkillsMatter conferences are unofficially cancelled as the company has gone into financial administration.

Yes, totally what John has said. re:Clojure is not related at all to ClojureX. It's a different conference, different venue, different organisers - although (I hope!) with the same great spirit, enthuasiasm and love of Clojure! 🙂

Thankfully we've had very kind people jump in to lend their support (Sponsors, volunteers) to keep the flame of Clojure burning bright! 🙂

I think it shows the community spirit is very much alive and well in London and is thriving and growing!

The hope is that this won't be a London-centric conference, but will move from city to city

or at least be rooted in London, but offshoots elsewhere.
