We’re hiring two software engineers (front end and backend focus) at my super early startup, Highly Composite. There’s an https://highlycomposite.com up which has received great feedback. It’s written in Python and we’re going to switch over to Clojure/ClojureScript/Datomic for the future. The first task will be rewriting the current app, so it’s basically greenfield. The problem we’re solving is managing data for the testing of web applications. EDIT: The company is full remote but you’ll need to be on US time and be able to legally work in the US (I’m from the US but in Mexico). Our company virtues are kindness, intelligence and strength. I’m a complete Clojure beginner myself, but after talking to a few experts and weighing it out, I’m confident it’s the right tool for the job. You’ll have a ton of ownership over your part of codebase. I’m looking for at least 4 years of professional software engineering experience for either role, and then a year with ClojureScript for the front or a year with Clojure and Datomic for the back. I think it’s important at this stage to have more people who have “been there and done that”. I’m getting a team ready-to-go before fundraising in September. If you’re looking to start a full-time job tomorrow, this won’t be right for you. I’m happy to send over the investor pitch deck for anyone who’s interested. Send me a message here or an email at <mailto:travis@highlycomposite.com|travis@highlycomposite.com> if you’d like to talk.
