Can someone please look at the #clojure channel and block the spammers?

seancorfield 2019-02-12T06:35:34.003300Z

They are already deactivated and their messages deleted.

The less noise you make about it, the faster I can get it cleaned up.

This one was particularly annoying because their short nickname made them hard to locate in the admin. I had to download the complete list of members and search via their internal member ID 😞

Slack makes it very hard to clean up after these spammers. Every message must be deleted individually (three clicks each) and then every file must be deleted individually too (two clicks each).

who knew a chat tool for internal company communications would be bad at handling spam messages in a public setting 🙂

could this be automated? e.g. does Slack exposes an API to do this?

Feel free to talk this to #community-development -- #slack-help is intended for folks to help with using Slack, #community-development exists to discuss options for building and improving the community. There's already been some chatter there about this sort of thing.
