one of the most fascinating phenomena we deal with in our industry is 'imposter syndrome'. i think much of the self-work i do is, in part, to deal with my own IP. being a leader of a team and ultimately responsible for a technology platform, i often wonder how the hell i was allowed to do so 🙂
I believe that the best leaders are those that are comfortable with uncertainty
one really interesting piece of text is Aleister Crowley’s interpretation of the Tao De Ching
he comes at the text from the point of Western mysticism
it’s one of the most understandable interpretations of the Tao that I’ve come across
"True speech is not elegant; elaborate speech is not truth. Those who know do not argue; the argumentative are without knowledge. Those who have assimilated are not learned; those who are gross with learning have not assimilated."
the Tao itself is a philosophy based on being comfortable with change
and uncertainty
nice.
