I'm not sure if you are interested in the subtleties or not, but let me know if you have any thoughts or any other way of testing whether it improves the situation with spec's usage

I think the biggest "risk" is in severely reducing the coverage of existing tests that make assumptions about the old distributions

could easily just release another alpha and see how it goes

I would love to take a look, but won’t be today
