I'd like to have it too, it's related: https://github.com/microsoft/vscode/issues/26729#issuecomment-473427044, there's an idea to create similar plugin as key promoter for intellij, but there are some limitations in vscode api. So far I guess the quickest solution is to print favourite shortcuts and stick it to desk untill I learn them.

thanks for this info - very interesting! in my case, rediscovering the functionality is more important than learning the shortcuts. some commands don't end up being used nearly as frequently as others. the command palette can help, but some of the command names are not so "rediscoverable" :)
